Therapeutic Biography

I’m a counselor who believes people heal best when they feel genuinely seen and not judged. My style is steady, relaxed, and honest. I aim to be someone you can talk to without having to edit yourself or pretend you’re fine when you’re not.

A lot of the people I work with are carrying stress, anxiety, or old trauma that’s finally catching up with them. Some are dealing with big life transitions, relationship difficulties, identity questions, or a sense that they’ve been “holding it together” for too long. My job is to help you sort through all of that in a way that feels manageable and grounding.

I draw from a mix of evidence-based approaches—CBT, ACT, mindfulness, trauma-informed care, and positive psychology—but the heart of my work is connection. We’ll slow things down, talk about what’s really going on, and build practical tools that help you feel stronger and more centered in your everyday life.

Before I became a therapist, I spent over a decade working in higher-education leadership supporting students through crises, trauma, and everything in between. That experience shaped my counseling style: calm, direct, and grounded in compassion. I’m comfortable sitting with people in tough moments, and I don’t shy away from the hard conversations.

I hold an M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Eastern Michigan University and am a National Certified Counselor, with specialized training in crisis intervention, trauma, and gender identity work.

Most of all, I want therapy to feel safe, steady, and real. If we work together, we’ll focus on helping you feel more connected to yourself, more equipped to navigate what’s in front of you, and a little less alone in the process.
