Therapeutic Biography

Psychotherapy is a powerful tool that can help you learn how to advocate for yourself and move forward with greater trust and purpose in life. I don’t seek to change who you are; only motivate, support, and guide you to your own conclusions while you build the life you deserve.

My therapeutic skillset is tailored toward clients experiencing traumatic and complicated grief as well as clients living with the heavy burden of generalized anxiety and depression. I am also focused on treating clients who have experienced, or are still experiencing, domestic and/or sexual violence. Because my practice often involves trauma-informed care, I am able to work with both children and adults who experience adverse circumstances that can impact entire family systems, such as substance use and self-harm.

Additionally, I work with neurodivergent clients and clients with behavioral concerns that can cause hardship and stress during daily activities. Because my approach is solution focused, I am able to help you discover positive ways to cope in a society that often misunderstands the day-to-day impact of these conditions.

Through a lens of trauma-informed practice, I aim to promote your strengths and foster your overall well-being by using holistic, client-centered methods that encourage the healthy rewriting of your most difficult narratives. I emphasize a blend of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you progress toward your goals. I take pride in individually adapting each treatment plan to ensure all of my clients know they are heard, understood, and appreciated.

I enjoy working with clients who remain curious about their personal growth even when circumstances seem overwhelming. I believe that learning how to remain open-minded through difficult times is essential when maneuvering through life’s toughest stressors. This delicate balance of change and acceptance is where I find the most fulfillment as a therapist - helping my clients navigate painful circumstances while also learning healthy ways to cope with difficult past and present situations.
