Therapeutic Biography
I believe that we all deserve to live a life that brings us joy, harmony, and authenticity. If you have come to therapy because you have found that you are not finding joy in your life, I commend your courage for finding help. This is the first big step to achieving your goals. You are the expert of your own life. I will walk alongside you and we will we work together to untangle whatever is bringing you into therapy.
This partnership will look different depending on who you are and what you’re bringing to the therapy space. Adults may need help verbally processing complicated feelings, a child may need me to engage them in play to figure out how they feel. No matter the age, I meet my patients where they are with empathy and warmth. I also feel that humor is an important aspect of the healing process.
I'm passionate about working with children and families. I believe in treating the whole family when working with a child. I do this by working one on one with children and by supporting families to address stressors, building skills, and improve communication. Simple and intentional changes make big differences for the families that I work with. I have significant experience working with LGBTIA+ youth and their families. The therapeutic space that I create is affirming and honest. I foster a person's ability to navigate identity while leaning into supports that nurture the process of becoming who they are. I look forward to supporting you or your family's therapeutic journey.
