Therapeutic Biography
Therapy is more than conversation. It reveals patterns, themes, habits, emotions, and beliefs we carry from our experiences or trauma. Knowing and accepting ourselves is the first step to reduce internal and external conflicts.
To reach the fullest potential of therapy–emotionally, physiologically, we need a therapist we connect to, can let our guard down with, and who helps us change our perceptions or responses.
My clinical experience involves working with adults and adolescents with trauma, anxiety, and depression. A former book publisher/editor, I have written online courses on trauma. In addition, I have lived (family) experience with neurodivergence, complex trauma, PTSD, and chronic illness, which has given me a deep perspective. My approach is integrative, psychodynamic, and attachment-based. I am also influenced by ACT therapy and DBT, which helps us build a life worth living.
Some areas I can assist with include trauma, anxiety, depression, obsessive thoughts, neurodivergence, and perfectionism. Whatever underlying issues you may face, we will explore your thoughts and feelings in a way that makes you feel heard, seen, valued, and understood.
