Therapeutic Biography

I believe that helping you recognize your own individual strengths is one of the most effective ways to get you to where you want to be. I seek to guide you in recognizing your ability to grant yourself more self-compassion and to explore with you what may be contributing to where you currently feel stuck. I often use an eclectic combination of CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), ACT (Acceptance And Commitment Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), IFS (Internal Family Systems Model) and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy in my sessions so that together we can find your confidence in your ability to cope with whatever worries, hurts or stuck points brought you in.

I provide a warm, fun space where my main goal is for your child to feel comfortable being their authentic self as we work towards their therapy goals using creative interventions. Expect to see a combination of play therapy and art therapy interventions tailored each session to meet your child where they are at. I also offer parent sessions so that as your child works individually with me, I can help guide you in how to continue implementing at home the skills they learn here. One of the biggest impacts to your child’s mental health happens through the interactions you have with them. I would love to also empower you to feel more equipped to handle those day to day behaviors and big emotions your child has.

Trauma Focused

For those seeking treatment for PTSD or Complex PTSD, we can do EMDR therapy to not only help treat where you currently feel stuck or triggered, but also deep dive into healing from the traumatic life experiences that are the contributing factors to your current symptoms. I offer in-person and virtual EMDR therapy with multiple BLS techniques available for us to use.

Simply allowing yourself to show up each session is a huge step, and the more effort you put into the therapy process the more you will get out of it. I'll join you and help guide you from there!
