Therapeutic Biography
You don't need to come to therapy knowing exactly what you want to work on or how to put it in the right words. Instead of trying to figure out the perfect way to retell your whole life story, or which details to include when starting sessions with a new counselor, the first step can be as simple as finding a space where you can have good conversations and be honest about what has been difficult. Come as you are.
Because I understand the strength it takes to start seeking therapy services, I'll be following your lead as co-pilot in our sessions. Working towards change can be challenging, but as long as you are willing to try when it gets difficult, I'll be right by your side to provide support with patience and empathy.
My approach to therapy is collaborative and aims to provide that safe space to help you better understand yourself, your thoughts, emotions, identity, and relationships. I enjoy working with all individuals who are navigating stress and life transitions, and I can assist with experiences related to OCD, anxiety, depression, chronic illness, and eating disorders.
Whether you know exactly what brings you in, or we need to work together to identify patterns that you may have been unaware of, our work will always be nonjudgmental and tailored to whatever style may work best for you as a unique individual. I look forward to working with you!
