Therapeutic Biography

Welcome! I am a Clinical Psychologist at SMC. My approach to therapy is grounded in a holistic perspective—recognizing that the mind, body, environment, and spirit are all deeply interconnected. I use an evidence-based practice approach, tailoring treatment techniques and goals to meet each client’s unique needs. Cultural sensitivity and humility are central to my work, ensuring that each client feels heard, respected, valued, and supported.

I acknowledge that you value your well-being and are ready to be an active partner in your care. If this is your first time seeking therapy or you're returning to the process, it took courage take this step—which is a meaningful investment in yourself! I offer a safe, brave, and empowering space where we can work collaboratively to navigate challenges you’re facing or maintain work you’ve already done. In the early stages of therapy, we’ll focus on building a strong therapeutic relationship—one that fosters trust and ensures a good fit. This foundation will allow us to cultivate a partnership that supports your resilience, expands your knowledge, deepens your insight, and strengthens your skills to lead a more harmonious life. Whether you’re navigating depression or anxiety, life transitions, or desiring to change patterns that no longer serve you, all experiences are welcome. I encourage you to approach therapy with curiosity, honesty, openness, and a readiness to explore your life from a holistic lens. You may not have all the answers—and that is okay—what matter is you’re motivated and willing to anchor or adjust your sails amidst the waves of life.

For Adolescents and their Families:

  • Adolescents: Life can feel confusing, overwhelming, or just plain tough sometimes—especially when you're trying to figure out who you are, where you’re accepted, or how to handle school, friends, or family dynamics. If you’re struggling with identity, self-esteem, school pressure, or relationship stress, know that you’re not alone. I work with adolescents and their families to explore what is working and what is not.

  • Parent/Caregiver: Caring for adolescents can feel complex sometimes—especially when your child is struggling. I partner with parents/caregivers and their adolescents to uncover unhelpful patterns and discover more connected and supportive ways of doing life together. I will support you by offering tools to help navigate the ups and downs of caring for your child, foster stronger relationships, support your child’s self-esteem, and respond to academic or social stressors. At the same time, I emphasize the importance of parental self-care, self-reflection, and growth. When everyone feels empowered, small changes make a difference in everyday life and lasting change feels possible.

If you, or your family, are ready to engage in a therapeutic process that honors your experiences and integrates your values, I invite you to connect with me. Together, we can move toward a path of healing and growth that promotes lasting change. I look forward to working alongside you.
