Therapeutic Biography
As a therapist, my primary work is with anxiety and phobias. I work with people who struggle with social anxiety, generalized anxiety, and phobias across the spectrum.
When it comes to social anxiety, I focus on strengthening self-esteem and practicing skills that you can actually use outside of sessions. You don’t have to live with constant butterflies before school, work, social gatherings, or family events. Together, we’ll build strategies that feel realistic and help you move through those situations with more confidence.
I take a direct but kind approach in my work. I want you to see real progress and gain meaningful insight, and that often means being honest with you in a supportive way. That honesty helps build trust, which creates space for real growth.
I also have extensive experience working with OCD and phobias. Intrusive thoughts, compulsive behaviors, and the fears that come with them can be overwhelming and, at times, isolating. There is no judgment in my therapy room. I understand how intense and consuming these experiences can feel, and I’m here to help you face them in a way that feels manageable. I use evidence-based approaches, including ACT and CBT-ERP, and tailor them to what works best for you.
Some of the more common phobias I work with include: flying, driving, dental work, medical settings, fainting, illness, vomit (emetophobia), and death.
For those navigating food allergies, I know how much they can affect daily life, not just physically, but emotionally. As an allergy mom, I’ve seen firsthand the constant planning, worry, and feeling of always having to stay on guard. In our work together, I aim to offer a space where you feel understood and supported, while also helping you (or your family) feel more steady and confident in managing those challenges.
