Simply Mindful Counseling is currently looking for thoughtful and motivated therapists, with Friday, Saturday, or Sunday availability, to join our expanding practice in Plymouth, MI.

We have openings for clinicians who are licensed as:

  • Licensed Masters in Clinical Social Work (LMSW)

  • Limited Licensed Masters in Clinical Social Work (LLMSW)

  • Licensed Psychologist (LP)

  • Limited Licensed Psychologist (LLP)

  • Temporary Limited Licensed Psychologist (TLLP)

  • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)


We welcome clinicians who are looking for part-time as well as full-time employment.


We are looking for both early career clinicians as well as more experienced clinicians.


Priority will be given to clinicians who have an interest in working with couples, families, and children; and clinicians who have a willingness to work evening and weekend hours. 


Eligible candidates must have a current Michigan license (full or limited) in the LARA system.


Ideal Candidates Have:

  • Proficiency at building long-term therapeutic rapport with patients

  • Excellent diagnostic and therapeutic skills

  • Foundational knowledge of clinical skills, treatment approaches, and treatment planning

  • Comfort using evidence-based treatment (CBT, IFS, EMDR, etc.)

  • The ability to conceptualize cases from multiple perspectives (attachment/relational, behavioral, family-systems, cultural, etc).

  • Comfort providing in-person and/or virtual counseling services (Telehealth)

  • A firm understand of internal family systems and cognitive behavioral therapy

  • An appreciation for case consultation and connecting with other colleagues

  • Comfort sharing office space and communal space with other clinicians

  • Drive to provide the best care for patients in our community

  • Passion for continuing education

  • Eagerness to grow as a clinician

  • Willingness to work with diverse areas of clinical focus

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Excellent time management skills

  • Ability to work independently

  • Are interested in being part of a group practice



Clinicians are paid on commission with a fee-split ranging from 50% to 70%
A fully licensed clinician seeing 30 patients/week, with six (6) weeks off per year will have a yearly salary range $95,000 - $120,000+.

Pay is variable and is based on patient's insurance, ability to maintain relationships with patients, number of patients a clinician wants to see each week, clinician’s licensure, clinician’s experience, and other factors.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Clinicians manage their own clinical schedule

  • Conduct intakes

  • Determine diagnosis

  • Treatment plan

  • Provide evidence based psychotherapy

  • Monitor treatment progress

  • Maintaining treatment notes

  • Collaborate with other clinicians in case consultation

  • Uphold ethical treatment standards

  • Participate in ongoing continuing education

  • Limited license clinicians will regularly meet with the clinical director for growth skills and training.


Our therapists frequently share cases- working with multiple family members- with the opportunity for rich connections and collaborations.


Our therapeutic environment offers clinicians the opportunities for ongoing professional development- with guest speakers, team case consultation meetings, and individual consultation sessions with the director (if desired).



  • Must have a Current Michigan License (must be verifiable through LARA)

  • Must be able to work independently and remotely

  • Strong proficiency with computers and computer-based programs for record-keeping, scheduling, etc.

  • Team player

  • Excellent people skills

  • High level of professionalism
